I love when this little lady does reviews of my stuff!
“While not being exactly what you’d call a mixtape or an album for that matter, “ renvoi. ” is not to be treated the way it is titled. Made up of cuts and edits, some of which that even date back to 2008, serve to be like a scrapbook. They aren’t exactly all on the same subject, quite frankly a few of them don’t match up, but it still brings something beautiful when it’s all put together. Not to mention the art is d0pe bless.”

I thought after getting my computer back I’d have all the time in the world to be productive. Sike. I was slacking on the weekly posts of the renvoi tracks [because I had no computer to retrieve the files], so I decided to design a new cover and just put all the tracks I planned to upload into one file. This should compensate for a bit while I’m steadily working on the Almost Remembered EP. Sorry for that again guys! Keep in mind, the tracks are in no specific order and were recorded at completely different intervals of time…
ERICK ELLIOTT: “Renvoi’s literal translation in French means , “to send back” or “to return unopened”. Here are 9 tracks I picked at random for you guys to listen to and critique. A few of these are dated back to late 2008! Whew!” – weseamusic.com

I know it has been quite some time since there was a post on theloveinus I would deem as an extremely relevant one, thus this being the first in about a month or so.
If you guys have been following-up or keeping in contact with me, many of you should know I was struggling without a computer for a little over a month. Oddly enough, I can honestly say though it was a pretty rough experience, a lot of good actually came from not having to stare at this computer screen all day. Along with the upcoming .wav/es site, I also have pretty big plans for theloveinus’ street team entitled, “The Architects”. There will be more updates on this a little later on, though some of you may be aware of it already.

This was my birthday week. I opened up this week at the Cameo Gallery for my birthday performance, and I must say–that was the most fun I’ve ever had as an artist thus far. There are times when you feel you are unappreciated, perhaps even the slight feeling that no one really cares about what you do as much you do… And then there are other times when it doesn’t matter. You know people are there for you, and THAT’s what matters. I want to thank each and everyone again who came out to see me perform on Tuesday, especially those who took the time to sign the poster I designed.

Thursday, August 12th I turned [__] years old. It was great feeling to just hang with my friends. I gave L the camera for the night to document our travels.

So now, not only do I have something to Remember this week forever, [great penis illustration on my poster, compliments of Demetri], I can consider this as a testament of my will and patience. Sadly, I rely on my computer [much like everyone else does] to carry out most of my tasks throughout the day. I couldn’t wait to get it back and running. And now that I’m able to use it again I can get back to my normal life. Design, work, inspiration, research and study.
Be on the look out for more updates on the Almost Remembered EP, laundry&luggage, basquiat & dali, theloveinus and .wav/es.
I’m finally back.

Come on out guys! My birthday is actually the 12th [next Thursday], but nonetheless come on out and have a good time.
I plan to perform something new off of Almost Remembered as a treat for those who take the time out to hang that night.
This will also be my first set with my boy Obey City who will play as my DJ for night! Let’s go!
For those who missed my performance at BarrelHouse last month, here’s some footage from that night.
Fast forward to about 3:15 to see me!

I put this site out last night with my buddy InfamousJeanClaude to showcase our extreme love for design and music. We are handpicking a batch of songs each week and designing our own covers to portray the unique theme of each playlist.
We will also be taking user submissions over the next few days as we continue to clean up the backend of the site. We will notify you guys when you will be able to send in your own playlist to us for your own custom cover design, based on our interpretation of your music choices. The cover and the playlist will be posted promptly to the site for others to view and download.
