It’s impossible to conduct a career in fear that people won’t like you. It’s either you’re good, or you aren’t. People spend too much time trying to define what art is. When it comes to Hip-Hop music, it’s transgressed much from the way things ‘used-to-be’, and people should accept that things have officially changed and stop whining.
In the same respect, that doesn’t make everything that is deemed as ‘different’ as ‘good music’. It troubles me to know that certain artists who speak about their issues – however vulgar – are defined as a lesser because they aren’t ‘pop’, just as much as it bothers me to know there are artists who are so anti-establishment they can’t ever have a ‘mainstream’ sound.
I believe I need to become more familiar with leveling. I would love to be able to do a lot more of my mixing myself, but I often get frustrated and push all the levels really high so I can hear, hahahaha. I also need to do more collaborative records.”

After the “Plane” video, it was only right to join forces with InfamousJeanClaude for his visual interpretation of “Orbital”, which recently debuted on iTunes last month. The release date as of now is set to the 17th of next month. Be on the look out for this one, we shall not disappoint!

I figured it was only right to begin the re-opening of this blog the proper way, thus I am re-introducing myself to people who aren’t familiar with my face. My name is Erick, and I do many things! I created this site about 2 years ago, originally to showcase my random quirky findings related to overseas design [European influence], and also to keep people updated on whatever I was involved in at the time.
TheLoveInUs began as a forum [so to speak] for information. The ‘Us’ refers to the actual staff of people I assigned to contribute to the website, and its metaphorical reference to the people who allow themselves to be loved. I always use French references to love for all my artistic endeavors because of its relation to the ‘language of love’ and so forth.
Music became my sole means of happiness as a student in High School, and Design became an extreme interest shortly after. I was always a geeky computer-videogame kind of guy, but I’ve always dreamed of touring the world making music. Oddly enough, I double as a Hip-Hop artist and Graphic + Web Designer [I take pictures too], and this site is the foundation of my dreams.
